maybe because of the leverage? but mainly the options of a 1 year from now probably have already priced in some growth on BTC. BTC is likely to 2X to 4X from the current price, that's hundreds of % on it's own. However, if people already expect such returns on BTC, then the price of the option may already have priced in this, hence you don't experience the full return.
